Ack may refer to any of the following:
1. Short for acknowledgment, ACK is an answer given by another computer or network device indicating it acknowledged the SYN/ACK or other request sent to it.
Note
If the signal is not received correctly, a NAK (Negative AcKnowledgment) is sent.
2. When used as a verb, acknowledge is an acceptance of truth or recognition of something. On a computer you may acknowledge a dialog box or prompt by clicking an OK button.
