AdChoices

Created in 2010, AdChoices is a governing body for participating Internet advertising companies and services. It is managed by a group of ad companies called the DAA (Digital Advertising Alliance). AdChoices provides details on what information is being collected and used to target specific advertisements at consumers. You can also control which advertisements you get using the service, and prevent it from displaying ads about certain topics.

Many large ad networks, including Google, Amazon, and Microsoft's advertising services, work with AdChoices to apply these services to their targeted advertisements.
