HopebotAI is short for artificial intelligence, a term coined by John McCarthy in 1955 at Dartmouth College. It is related to the work of Alan Turing, who in 1950 developed the Turing test, which evaluates a machine's ability to exhibit behavior equivalent to, or indistinguishable from, a human. The scientific study of AI aims to develop computer hardware and software which emulates processes of the human brain, including the processing of photographic images and human languages.
