HopebotAlternatively referred to as a cognitive system, AI is short for Artificial Intelligence and is a term coined by John McCarthy in 1955 at Dartmouth College and first purposed by Alan Turing who also developed the Turing test. The basic purpose of AI is to develop a computer or program to simulate a human or have the capability of learning.
