Alt+N is a shortcut key most often used to open the Insert option in a file menu or the Ribbon.

How to use the Alt+N shortcut key

To use the keyboard shortcut Alt+N, press and hold either Alt key on the keyboard and while continuing to hold, press the "N" key with the same hand or the other hand.

Alt+N in Microsoft Excel

In Microsoft Excel, pressing Alt+N opens the Insert tab in the Ribbon. Once in the Insert tab after pressing the shortcut, you'll also have the option to press an additional key to select an option in the Insert tab. For example, after pressing Alt+N if you press "P," it would insert a picture.

Using Alt+N in Google Sheets

In Google Sheets, pressing Alt+N opens the Add-ons file menu.

Alt+N in Microsoft PowerPoint

In Microsoft PowerPoint, the Alt+N shortcut key opens the Insert tab in the Ribbon.
