Alt+R is a keyboard shortcut most often used to open the Review tab in the Office programs Ribbon.

How to use the Alt+R keyboard shortcut

To use this keyboard shortcut, press and hold either Alt key, and while continuing to hold, press R.

Alt+R in Microsoft Excel

In Microsoft Excel, pressing Alt+R opens the Review tab in the Ribbon. After using this shortcut, you can press an additional key to select a Review tab option. For example, after pressing Alt+R, you could press S to run the Spelling & Grammar tool.
