First released on July 25, 2014, the Amazon Fire Phone was a smartphone developed by Amazon, Inc. It ran a forked version of the Android mobile operating system named Fire OS (operating system), and operated exclusively on the AT&T network. It came with one free year of Amazon Prime.

The first-generation Fire Phone was a critical and commercial failure. In September 2015, Amazon discontinued development and sale of the device.
