First released in 2018 by Innersloth, Among Us is a game for iOS and Android smartphones, and PC platforms like Steam. The gameplay is outer-space themed, and focuses on the completion of small minigames called "tasks". Its gameplay is based on social deduction-games like Mafia or Werewolf, requiring players to identify the "imposter" who is trying to sabotage the gameplay. The game is fast-paced and allows 10 to 15 people to play together, which can be composed of both friends and online players chosen through matchmaking.

Among Us became wildly popular in 2020, causing many celebrities and influencers to play together for fans on streaming platforms, like Twitch and YouTube. The success of the game was partially due to its free-to-play business model. The mobile version of the game can be downloaded on the Apple App Store or Google Play store for free, or purchased for the PC on Steam. Innersloth generates revenue from Among Us through cosmetic items, which are purchased through microtransactions.
