BIO may refer to any of the following:
1. Alternatively called a profile, BIO is short for biography and describes a brief description of a person. A short biography or description of people who have affected the computer industry is in our index of notable people in the field of computing.
2. BIO or biobreak is used in chat and online games to let others know you're going to the bathroom but will return shortly. For example, someone may say "afk bio" to indicate they are stepping away from the keyboard to go to the bathroom.
