CDSL

Updated: 11/12/2023 by Computer Hope

Short for Consumer DSL, CDSL is a trademarked version of DSL (digital subscriber line) from Rockwell Semiconductor Systems, a division of Rockwell International. CDSL is asynchronous with a transfer speed of up to 1 Mbps down and 128 Kbps up with a maximum cable distance of 18,000-feet.

CDSL removed the need for ADSL (asymmetric digital subscriber line) splitter equipment that would be installed by a telephone technician and maintains a continuous connection.
