Updated: 10/11/2017 by Computer Hope

Color management refers to technology which controls the way that colors are represented across various devices, such as digital cameras, monitors, TV screens, and printers. Its purpose is to represent colors the same way, regardless of the medium through which they are being reproduced. The ICC (International Color Consortium) is an industry group which defines an open standard for color matching at the operating system level. It also defines "color profiles" for various display and printing devices.
