Contextual advertising

Advertising on the Internet that is determined by the content on the current web page or search history is referred to as contextual advertising. The advertising company achieves this by using a spider or another script to scan the web page for keywords, and then determines what ad to display on the page. Contextual advertising is more effective than generic advertising because it relates to what the visitor may have an interest in, as opposed to advertisements with random content.
