Ctrl+End

Alternatively referred to as Control End and C-End, Ctrl+End is a shortcut key that moves the cursor to the end of a document.

How to use the Ctrl+End

To use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+End, press and hold either Ctrl key on the keyboard and while continuing to hold, press the End key with the same hand or the other hand.

Note

On Apple computer keyboards, the Ctrl key is labeled as "control."

Ctrl+End in an Internet browser

All major Internet browsers (e.g., Chrome, Edge, Firefox, IE, Opera) pressing Ctrl+End moves to the end of the web page.

Ctrl+End in Excel and other spreadsheet programs

In Microsoft Excel, pressing Ctrl+End moves to the last cell containing text. For example, if you had text in column Z row 31 with no other text past or below this cell it would be the cell selected.

Tip

If you pressed Ctrl+Shift+End everything from the text cursors current position to the end of the document would be highlighted.

Ctrl+End in Word and other word processors

In Microsoft Word and other word processor programs, pressing Ctrl+End would move to the end of the document.
