Dim

Dim may refer to any of the following:
1. With a light, or brightness, dim describes the reduction of overall quantity of light being produced by a source. For example, if your computer display is too bright, you may dim (reduce) the brightness to make it easier on your eyes.
2. With color, dim describes a color that is not as bright or faint.
3. DIMM (dual in-line memory module) is a type of computer memory. See our DIMM page for further information.
4. With people, dim or dimwit is a derogatory term describing someone that is not smart.
