Dock

Dock may refer to any of the following:
1. The Dock is a bar located at the bottom of the macOS screen on Apple computers. It allows quick access to programs you frequently use. It also displays which programs and files are currently in use. The picture below shows the Dock in macOS.
Tip
Users more familiar with Microsoft Windows computers can think of the Dock as the Taskbar.
2. The term dock also refers to connecting your computer to a docking station.
