Fi

A fi may refer to any of the following:

1. When describing a signal, fi which is short for fidelity, is the degree at which an electronic device reproduces sound or a picture. For example, with earlier audio, there were lo-fi (low fidelity) and hi-fi (high fidelity) records, hi-fi records reduced distortion and background noise on poor-quality recordings. 2. With a wireless signal, fi is not an abbreviation and is often describes Wi-Fi or a related technology like Google Fi.

3. With the Linux command line, fi is a scripting command in the Bourne shell and other shells that end an if statement.

4. When describing a domain, .fi is the top-level domain for Finland.
