GPF

Short for general protection fault, GPF or GP fault is an error message generated in Windows. A GPF indicates a program has attempted to access a portion of memory that is either invalid or already in use. This error often forces the user to exit the application or reboot their system. As an integral part of Windows, GPF messages cannot be disabled.
