Computer chassisHousing is a term used to describe any material or casing that helps protect or connect components. For example, your computer chassis helps protect all the major parts of your computer and at the same time keep them all in a centralized location.

Note: when referring to a CPU, it is more appropriate to refer to the housing of a CPU as the processor package.
