Hover may refer to any of the following:
1. Alternatively referred to as mouseover or mouse hover, hover describes the act of moving a mouse cursor over a clickable object, but not actually clicking the left or right mouse button.
For example, when you hover your mouse over any of the links on this page, they should change color, indicating that they can be clicked. You'll also notice that this action shows additional information about the link.
In the animated picture is an example of how the cursor changes as you hover over different elements. By default, the mouse pointer is an arrow. When you hover over text you get the I-beam cursor, whereas the pointer changes to a hand cursor when the mouse is over a hyperlink.
