Jabber may refer to any of the following:

1. Jabber is an ad-free, open, and secure instant messenger program available for Linux, Unix, Windows, macOS X, PalmOS, as well as other platforms. What makes Jabber unique from other commercial IMs is the ability for anyone to run a Jabber server.

Jabber is owned and maintained by Cisco.

2. With a network, a jabber is a term used to describe when a network node transmits a packet larger than the allowed limit. A jabber is often caused when a fault or other error happens with the network.
