LAPM

Short for Link Access Procedure for Modems, LAPM is an error control protocol defined in ITU-T recommendations V.42. Like the MNP (Microcom Network Protocol) protocols, LAPM uses CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) and ARQ (Automatic Repeat Request) to ensure data reliability.
