Short for multicolor graphics array or memory controller gate array, MCGA is a graphics system built into computers manufactured during the 1980s. MCGA is capable of displaying 80x25 text in monochrome, 40x25 text in 256 colors, or 320x200 pixel graphics in 256 colors. Today, MCGA is considered obsolete.
