Mouse chording is the use of multiple mouse buttons simultaneously to perform a special function.

Examples of applications that support mouse chording

  • In World of Warcraft and other games, when holding down the left and right mouse buttons, it causes your character to move forward while having the ability to move the camera and look around.
  • The 3D astronomy program Celestia, which adjusts the camera distance when the mouse is moved while the left and right mouse buttons are held down.
