My Activity is a utility that collects information whenever those who have a Google account use Google's services. These services include YouTube, Google Maps, other various Google apps, and your search history when you use the Google Chrome browser or perform a Google search.

Can I view, delete, or turn off My Activity history?

Yes. As with many of Google's services and utilities, users can select what is stored and whether data is collected in the first place. To manage My Activity, see: How to view, edit, and disable Google search history.

Why does Google track my information with My Activity?

By collecting data, Google can create a better experience for you when you use their services. For example, if you take the same route to work each day, Google Maps displays your predicted travel time to work, and indicates time with traffic.

In Google Chrome, the sites you visit most frequently are suggested first in the Google omnibox (search bar) by only typing the first few letters of the site's name. For example, if you access Computer Hope a lot, typing "com" into the omnibox may suggest https://www.computerhope.com.
