Introduced in 2015, NVIDIA Shield is a family of gaming and entertainment consoles that run the Android operating system. Using the NVIDIA Shield, users can download video apps, like Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, and Disney+, to watch on their TV or another external display. In addition to its entertainment capabilities, the NVIDIA Shield allows users to play video games streamed over the cloud through NVIDIA GeForce Now.

The NVIDIA Shield is available in several form factors, including the console-like NVIDIA Shield TV, the NVIDIA Shield TV Pro (better specifications), and the portable NVIDIA Shield tablet.
