4 color printing

Alternatively referred to as CMYK, 4 color printing is the process of mixing cyan, magenta, and yellow inks to reproduce color in a printed document. Theoretically, these should be the only colors necessary, but because of the physical properties of ink, a fourth color (black) is required to achieve accurate dark levels.
