Object-oriented interface

An object-oriented interface is a virtual computer or electronic interface containing visual representations of real-life objects. For example, a directory is represented by a folder icon and a file represented by a paper icon. In the picture is a folder containing paper (files).

Another example of an object-oriented interface is a GUI (graphical user interface) operating system, such as Microsoft Windows.
