One may refer to any of the following:

1. One is a numerical value represented as "1" that's the first positive number following the zero. On a computer keyboard with a numeric keypad, there are two 1's. One on the top row of numbers and the other 1 on the keypad.

In ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange), the numerical value of "1" is "049" in decimal (00110001 in binary). To count to "1" in binary, it would be 00000001.
