Founded in 2013, Patreon is a website that allows Internet users to support artists and other content creators financially. Patrons can contribute on a recurring basis, or make a one-time payment dedicated to a single piece of work. Artists supported on Patreon include YouTube content creators, musicians, cartoonists, educators, scientists, comedians, dancers, and photographers.
