Released in 2013 by Andre von Houck, Chris Hesse, and Ryan Oldenburg, Pushbullet is an application for connecting different devices with cross-platform features. Pushbullet sends notifications received by one device to all other devices with the app installed. It also allows users to send text messages through Kik, WhatsApp, and SMS (short message service) from any device connected to an Android phone. Other features include cross-platform file sharing, shared copy and paste, and cloud storage.

Pushbullet is available for free on iOS, Android, Windows, Chrome, Firefox, and Opera. A pro version is also available for a monthly subscription of $3.99 per month.
