Receive

Receive or receiver may refer to any of the following:

1. When describing a person, receive describes something that is being obtained. For example, someone sent an e-mail is the receiver when the e-mail is received in their inbox.

2. With a telephone, a receiver is part of the telephone containing the earpiece, which converts electrical signals into sounds, which lets you hear sound.
