A retro gamer may refer to any of the following:

1. A retro gamer is someone who likes to play old games instead of the newer, graphically intensive ones. Retro gamers play games like Pac-Man, Tetris, Frogger, Zelda, Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario Bros and other original computer and console games. They may also play remakes of older games and use emulators to play games from console systems, like Nintendo or Sega Genesis, on a computer.

2. Retro Gamer is a British magazine focused on retro games, console game systems, and console game system emulators. Originally published by the Live Publishing company, the first issue was published in January 2005. The publishing rights were purchased by Imagine Publishing in October 2005, and the 100th issue was published in March 2012. Today, an app is available on the iPhone for reading back issues and future issues.
