Sampling

Sampling may refer to any of the following:

1. Sampling is a step used in converting an analog signal to a digital signal.

2. With a video or moving image, sampling is combining multiple still images and playing them at a high rate of speed causing those images to be animated.

3. With audio, sampling takes a segment of sound and plays it at a high rate of speed, resulting in continuous sound.
