A SATADIMM is a SATA II SSD (solid-state drive) using the form factor of a 240-pin DIMM chip (133.35mm x 18.75mm). It fits in a DDR3 DIMM slot on a motherboard and provides increased capacity and performance for storage in a server. Viking Modular Solutions is the first company to design and market this product. It can minimize, if not eliminate, the need for 2.5" SSD drives, saving valuable space inside a server.
