Server Virtualization

Updated: 04/26/2017 by Computer Hope

Server virtualization is a computer simulation in which a server's physical resources are hidden from the user. The software is "virtualized" by the server's underlying operating system so that many emulated servers can run on a single physical machine. To the end user, it appears as if they have an entire server to themselves, when in fact they are using a single server instance on a much broader system.
