How to use the Shift+F3 keyboard shortcut

To use this keyboard shortcut, press and hold either Shift, and while continuing to hold, press the F3 key.

Shift+F3 in Microsoft Excel

Pressing Shift+F3 opens the Excel function window.

Shift+F3 in Microsoft PowerPoint

Pressing Shift+F3 changes the selected text to be uppercase or lowercase, or have a capital letter at the beginning of each word. If no text is selected, only the first word after the cursor is changed.

Highlighting text and pressing Shift+F3 changes the text in Microsoft Word from uppercase to lowercase or a capital letter at the beginning of every word.
