Spybot

Spybot may refer to any of the following:

1. A spybot is a worm first encountered on April 16, 2003. It spread between networked computers using P2P software, notably KaZaA. The worm linked the infected computer to an IRC (Internet Relay Chat) network, where malicious users could remotely control it.

2. When describing a program, Spybot is another name for Spybot Search and Destroy, a spyware detection and removal utility used with Microsoft Windows computers.
