Typeface examples

A typeface is a design that defines the overall look of characters. The letterforms that make up typefaces are created by type designers. Arial and Times New Roman are examples of typefaces. Pictured here are examples of some of the thousands of available typefaces.

Although used interchangeably, a font is the specific typeface, including the point size, color, and the type or font family, which usually includes bold and italic variations.
