Vein recognition is a method of biometric security that scans the veins of the user's finger or palm. This method can be more secure than fingerprint recognition, because veins, which lie under the skin, are much harder to forge than fingerprints.

Additionally, vein recognition scanners can be faster and more compact than traditional fingerprint scanners.
