Wall plate

A plate is used to cover a portion of a wall where there is an opening for electrical or networking outlets. The cover is usually rectangular in shape and allows the cable(s) to come through the wall while still covering the larger opening. The picture shows an example of a combo wall plate from Pyle Home with an HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface), coaxial, and dual Ethernet jacks.
