A webcast may refer to any of the following:
1. A live (sometimes delayed) broadcast of a video or audio presentation. For example, a student may view a webcast lecture or class at a local Community College or University to help complete their education without having to leave their home or business. Other examples of webcasts include conference calls for investors and live versions of radio shows.
2. Sending information to an Internet user by utilizing push technology is also considered a webcast.
