1. A live (sometimes delayed) broadcast of a video or audio presentation. For example, a student may view a webcast of a lecture to help complete their education without having to go to the school's campus. Other examples of webcasts include conference calls for investors and live versions of radio shows.
2. Sending information to an Internet user by utilizing push technology is also considered a webcast.
