Wetware is a term used to describe a biological life form's internal components as if they were that of a computer. In this context, "hardware" refers to the brain, and "software" or "code" is analogous to intelligent thoughts.

The "wet" part of wetware comes from that fact that biological entities are made up of mostly water.
