White paper

Updated: 10/17/2017 by Computer Hope

A white paper is a term used to describe a document or set of documents created to give extensive information on one subject. For example, a company may provide a white paper with a complete technical overview of a product including such details as its settings, specifications, benchmarks, and other information. A white paper is helpful for development and implementation since it gets into the technical details, but is not necessarily for end-users.
