A white paper describes a document or PDF (Portable Document Format) with extensive information on one subject. For example, a company may provide a white paper with a complete technical overview of a product, including its settings, specifications, benchmarks, and other information. A white paper is helpful for development, repair, and implementation since it gets into the technical details but is not necessarily for end-users.
