quad hd widescreenQuad HD, abbreviated as QHD, is a display resolution, having a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio. When QHD is in a widescreen format, it is sometimes called WQHD. It has four times as many pixels as HDTV video. The first WQHD LCD display was announced in the fall of 2006 by Chi Mei Optoelectronics.
