Name: Rasmus Lerdorf
Born: November 22, 1968, in Qeqertarsuaq, Greenland
- Danish programmer with Canadian citizenship best known as the creator of the PHP scripting language. He authored the first two versions.
- Contributed to the Apache HTTP Server and he added the LIMIT clause to the MYSQL DBMS. The LIMIT clause was later adapted by other DBMS, including MySQL.
- Programming PHP (2013).
Honors and awards
- Named to the MIT Technology Review TR100 as one of the top 100 innovators in the world under the age of 35 (2003).
