How to create a custom Google search
If you have ever wanted to search a select few of your favorite websites, you can use the Google Custom Search to create a custom search engine. This free service lets you specify what sites to search or exclude from the results.
For example, we created a custom search that parses a few dozen of the best sites for information on files and Windows system processes. Using this custom search, we can quickly see the exact results when looking up a file such as "atapi.sys" without hunting through the millions of forum posts containing this file.
Google lets you make as many custom searches as you want and, if you'd prefer, gives you the code to implement a custom search on a web page. Using Google Custom Search lets you set up a custom search that searches your web page, blog, or Twitter account.
