    Lenovo, Black screen with cursor

    Lenovo B50-30

    Hello,

When I boot my laptop everything seems to be working.
As soon as I enter my password and login to my windows account I get a black screen with nothing but a cursor.
I am able to Ctrl-alt-delete, but the task manager wont open.
The laptop ignores F1, F8 and F12. So I cant Boot in Safe mode or enter the BIOS

I have error checked the HDD with my desktop and everything seemed fine.
But it wasn't, the error check didn't solve anything.

Is there anyone who knows what might be wrong with my laptop, and if it's repairable?

    - Mathieu

You said you removed the HDD.
With no HDD, the laptop should go to the setup screen of the BIOS.
Thee you can set boot options. Set it to boot first from USB or CD.
With your other PC prepare a boot CD or USB with some diagnostics.

Boot diagnostics can be found elsewhere.
For your laptop, this might work:
    Lenovo Bootable Diagnostics

Does that work for you?   :)
