    Firefox download dialog
    « on: December 19, 2015, 06:38:16 AM »
    Hi

I am having problem with Firefox. When I try to download something, a download dialog box shows up but when I click to save file, the dialog box become disabled. If I press Ctrl+Esc it can be enabled again.

Also, when my windows 7 starts up, the start menu button will not be clickable, after I press Ctrl+Esc then it will work.

All of these problems still happen even after fresh installation of windows 7.

What can be the problem ?

    thanks

Did you install any other programs after Windows 7 clean build before installing Firefox?

I installed Realtek Ethernet Controller Driver before installing Firefox.

It does not say "Microsoft" on the disk but the web says the disk has Microsoft Windows 7 backup system image which fully complies with Microsoft's policy.

        Suit yourself...

It may be an image for a different PC which would likely explain your issues...

But before I bought the windows 7 recovery, I also downloaded another iso image of windows 7 (I do not think this iso is modified) from a web site and problem still the same.

Does my problems sound like a corrupted windows 7 or is there anything that I can do to fix it ?

          thanks

Downloaded ISO of Windows 7 was likely an illegal download. You really need to buy an original Microsoft Created and Issued Windows 7 Disc with License or contact your computer manufacturer for their specific system recovery media set which is cheaper and both are legal vs illegal.  :-\

The web I downloaded windows 7 said it is a legal copy because they do not provide product key. I use the product key that came with my PC. I went to Microsoft website to look for windows 7 iso and they have it but it gives me error when download it.

Where do you think I can get a genuine windows 7 from Microsoft ?

            thanks

If you still have the copy of windows DVD  disk then you can find it on card inside or if you purchase your window on Microsoft website. You can find it on the email that you use when you buy windows online.

My PC came with already installed Windows 7. I do not have any physical copy of Windows 7 DVD disk.
