Trying to get Rid of Downloaded games from Steam !
    « on: June 28, 2016, 05:38:15 PM »
Anytime my kids DL anything from this site call STEAM, my computer is screwy ! LOL! When I try to uninstall, it won't let me unless I first go to the STEAM site. I don't want to do that.
Is there another way to uninstall programs????

You could target the games installation location and delete them, but this is not the best method. Its best to launch steam and delete them the proper way, this way there are no orphan entries on your computer as a result of deleting a game improperly.

Question I have is,,,, why not delete them the proper way through steam?

Go to your library, right click on the game you're downloading and want to remove and select "Delete local content". That's all. You don't need to stop or restart Steam this way.
      Close Steam
Locate your C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\downloading folder
Delete everything under Downloading (not a specific folder just everything)
Start steam - product should download anew.
