error running 18 wheels of steel

Ok so about a week ago I won a computer at auction. The computer is fairly powerful so i decided to install some games on it. trackmania nations worked, gta vc worked, midnight outlaw also worked but when i tried 18 wheels of steel American long haul I get the folllowing error after pressing start on the mini menu

"we are sorry, but the operating sys failes to provide the windows to render the the game graphics in. Please consults the game manual for known workaround that might improve the game's compatibility with your hardware"

after pressing ok this error opens

You have a faster set-up then mine, That game runs great on this one.  Do you have
http://system-requirements-lab.updatestar.com/  I use this before I buy new games to see if my machine will run them.  It will tell you exactly what you need to fix the problem.
