MEMORY STICK USB LOST
« on: February 23, 2017, 02:51:58 PM »
Could not find where it had been answered before.  When I go to control panel there are two drives listed, the C and E drives.   There should be another one so I can read what is in my USB :(

What does control panel have to do with your disk drives?

After many hours of research, finally got the BD-Rom Drive (D:) back, but when I right click click on it, it says to insert a disk, and it should just let me read what is in the USB.  When I go to Properties, it says it is working properly.   I must be doing something so wrong and do not know what is wrong.  Anna Ruth

BD-ROM is a Blu-Ray Drive, not a USB Stick.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

Double clik it from there and it should open and see all your files.

Double-clicking in disk management doesn't do anything, though...

It will show what drive letter the device is assigned to.

Ideally, I think we need a screenshot here. There seems to be confusion about drive letters, especialyl since a BD-Rom drive was expected to read from USB (?)

Thank you, Patio.   I did that and it took me to Services where many were disabled or stopped, so I put them on Manual Start.

I think I will stay logged in here for a couple of days so I will not have to change passwords.
